Decking boards

Nordic Rafter decking boards are designed to provide a long-lasting, safe, and aesthetically appealing outdoor environment. They are suitable for both private home terraces and commercial projects where durability and visual quality are important.

Boards are available in various sizes and colours, allowing the creation of an individual and harmonious design. Several techniques are used during processing — charring, brushing, priming and painting — which significantly improve the material's properties.

Charring increases the wood's resistance to moisture and biological effects, while brushing highlights the natural texture. Priming and painting provide additional protection and an aesthetic appearance.

The result is a terrace that is not only visually appealing, but also resistant to everyday use and the effects of weather.

Treatment process

Nordic Rafter products are processed using four carefully developed technological solutions that ensure both aesthetics and durability. Each type of processing is tailored to different design and functionality requirements.

The available options are: Natural (primed and painted), Pure (brushed, primed and painted), Balance (charred, brushed, primed and painted) and Balance Light (charred, brushed twice, primed and painted).

Each processing stage improves the properties of the wood. Charring increases resistance to external factors, brushing highlights the natural texture, while priming and painting provide protection and an even coating.

The result is a high-quality, long-lasting, and visually expressive product that meets the requirements of modern architecture and design.

How much do decking boards cost?

Decking board prices start from €21.03 per m² incl. VAT, excluding delivery. The price depends on the wood (spruce or pine), size and finish.

What is the difference between the Natural, Pure, Balance and Balance Light finishes?

Natural boards are primed and painted. Pure boards are brushed, primed and painted, which brings out the wood grain. Balance boards are charred, brushed, primed and painted. Balance Light boards are charred, brushed twice, primed and painted. Charring increases resistance to the weather, brushing brings out the natural texture, and priming and painting give protection and an even coat.

How do I work out how many decking boards I need?

Send us the deck dimensions, the board and the finish you prefer, and we will prepare a quote with the quantity and delivery.

What wood are the decking boards made from and where are they produced?

We offer spruce and pine decking boards made in our own workshop in Madona, Latvia. Nordic Rafter (SIA IMAO) has manufactured timber products since 2010.

What foundation should a deck be built on?

A deck can stand on screw piles, which give a foundation without concreting. Nordic Rafter supplies M, U and G type screw piles, so boards and foundation can be ordered together.

Do you deliver outside Latvia?

Yes, we deliver across Europe and include delivery in the quote.
